Matcha tea and coconut popcorn

Matcha tea is very famous for its properties and its unique taste. In this recipe it is the main ingredient, accompanied by coconut. In our opinion, no two ingredients go so well together. In addition to the grated coconut, you can add a topping of coconut chips, which is sure to look great. If you don’t eat them straight away, you should store them once they are cold in an airtight container to enjoy them whenever you want, just as if they were freshly made!

Ingredients

  • 40 g popcorn corn
  • 80 g white dessert chocolate or vegan white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon matcha tea
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut

Instructions

  • Add the corn to the popcorn popper, cover and turn on.
  • Put a bowl in the popcorn outlet and wait until the popcorn is cooked.
  • Melt the white chocolate. You can do this in a bain-marie or in the microwave. For the first option, simply put a saucepan with water to heat and on top of it a metal or glass bowl with the chocolate until it is completely melted. If you want to do it in the microwave, add the chocolate in a bowl and melt it in 30-second intervals, stirring so that it does not burn and melts evenly.
  • Add the matcha tea when the chocolate is completely melted and stir until it is integrated.
  • Place the popcorn on a piece of parchment paper and add the white chocolate with the marshmallow tea.
  • Stir continuously until the popcorn is completely covered and spread it out on the paper so that it is not too close together and the chocolate solidifies better.
  • Quickly add the grated coconut on top of the popcorn.
  • Leave to cool so that the chocolate solidifies again. Once cooled, they are ready to enjoy.
